Face It ... Sometimes, you just have to toss tradition aside to make an impression. “Photo Friends” are picture frames that do precisely that. Freestanding and of flexible rubber, they readily accept any photo, lending the subject a decidedly personal air. The “arms” of the figures are poseable, too. A wide selection of designs is available, including versions specifically for pets, and custom designs are possible as well. They fit in equally well at home and at the office, and can be imprinted in several locations.

Lose the seriousness ... We’ve said it before and will keep saying it – sometimes when doing a promotion, it’s important to let the fun aspect take over completely. “Clipees” are an excellent example of this philosophy. These mini (none are larger than five inches) plush cuties (but not too cute), of polyester with poly fill, can be clipped onto jackets, lapels, bags, drawer handles, pens and more. In addition, they can stand by themselves on most flat surfaces to hold business cards or memos. The imprint area is the animal’s vest. At present, nine species are available: bear, bulldog, alligator (shown), kangaroo, dog, moose, monkey, polar bear and pig.

Serious cachet ... When it comes to museums, few have the recognition and worldwide rep of the Museum of Modern Art, aka/MoMA. For decades, it’s been known as a ground-breaker, both in exhibit content and in introducing new design. Now you can get promotional products officially licensed by MoMA. The “MoMA Design Store Collection” includes classic contemporary keytags, luggage tags, frames, desk accessories and much more, each exclusively designed and produced for the promotional products marketplace, and available nowhere else. Each fits virtually any décor, and bears the MoMA logo in addition to whatever other imprint is desired. All pieces are packaged in a custom gift box.

Shinin’ On ... Lighthouses have been literally guiding the way for countless sailors for over 1,000 years. Hardly surprising that they’ve been seen for almost as long as a symbol of stability and leadership. And “Beacon” takes full advantage of just that. Crafted completely of full-cut, faceted optical crystal, it’s a faithful replica of a classic American lighthouse, right down to the lens in the lantern room. The figure stands eight inches high, and the base can be etched or engraved with a recipient’s name, ad message, logo, or all three. An eye-grabbing award, particularly when some sort of leadership or mentoring was involved.

Past is present ... They look like something out of the ‘20s or ‘30s, but the perception doesn’t stop there; they feel that way, too. These pewter-tone all-metal banks are made pretty much the same way they were in 1914. Each is hand-poured and – finished using single-cavity molds, and the attention to detail is impressive, to say the least. They’re almost instant collectibles. And, befitting something with so much Americana, they’re USA-made. Over 400 molds are currently available, including buildings, cars, figures, trains, animals, monuments and much more. Custom pieces are also available.

A place for everything ...
An ancient saw, perhaps, but there’s nothing trite about the “Magic Bag.” Of 210 denier nylon. it can be used as a standard zippered tote, but the attached expandable wallet can hold cash, credit cards, sunglasses, cell phones, keys, pens and anything else you might need to. It has several zippers for security, and can also be employed as waist pouch, shoulder pouch, backpack or, of course, wallet. In two styles.

Underlying vision ...
Magnets have been a promotional products staple for decades, for a fundamental reason: people use them. The “MultiPurpose Magnet,” however, lends yet another new twist. Each magnet features
a two-sided, peel-away face that reveals a third ad message, which is printed directly on the magnet. A very interesting and unexpected idea for your contests, coupons, co-ops, etc.

Cool countin’ ... There are those times when a large imprint just fits the bill. And it seems to have even more impact when the product in question is something small. Take these calculators, for instance. They’re approximately as large as a pack of cigarettes but considerably thinner, come in four translucent colors plus silver and sport a sleek, contemporary look. What makes them really interesting, though, is the fact that even though the imprint, which is under the plastic lens, is almost half the size of the item, it’s not obtrusive in any way. In fact, it actually serves to complement the overall look. And it’s all at a surprisingly low price point.
