Wowing With Workwear

When you think “wearables,” your mind generally jumps to T-shirts and golf shirts. And it should, considering they’re the most popular imprinted apparel. But don’t count your profits – or employees – short by ignoring wearables that have a job to do. Occupational workwear is an area you may have overlooked in the past. Why make the same mistake twice? 
Need a really eye-catching shirt? This one will likely fill the bill. It’s made of 100% rayon and can be customized with any design or size. Matching ties, scarves, bows, cummerbunds, handkerchiefs, caps, visors and bucket hats are also available, in case you want to “co-or-dinate.”

It may take brains to be a scientist, but it takes a lab coat to look like one. This one is made from 5-ounce, 80/20 polyester-combed cotton poplin blend. It features a pre-cured pressed finish, left breast pocket, bar-tacked pencil “stall,” two lower patch pockets, button-front closures, lined notched lapel collar and side-vent openings. Five colors are available. Comes in a range of men’s and women’s sizes.

When you think workwear, safety is always a big issue. This vest, the “ANSI Class II,” meets or exceeds ANI/ISEA 107-1999 Class II garment requirements. It has a zipper closure and two-inch, high-gloss retro-reflective trim in silver on lime green or yellow on hi-visibility orange. Either way, the wearer will be seen. Available in sizes M-2XL.

If the clothes make the man and the man makes the food, always make sure the cook is looking good. The “Baggy Pants” and “VIP Jacket” are both made from 6-ounce 100% pima cotton and cotton twill, while the “Torque” is woven from 100% breathable cotton. The pants are available in white or black, but the torque and jacket come in nearly a dozen patterns.

Want to target food services? It’s hard to go wrong with an apron. “Style 3006R” is made of a durable and washable 7-ounce poly/cotton blend. It has a triple-pocket pouch with reinforced stress points and comes in black, navy, hunter green and royal.

The garment that puts the work in workwear. The “#161D” unlined bib overall is made from 12-oz cotton duck and features a two-way front brass zipper, seven pockets, hammer loop, and extra-long adjustable elastic suspenders that ride the entire shoulder. Available in short, regular and tall sizes.

The “JT15” is made from 7.5-ounce, vat-dyed twill that’s a 65% polyester/35% combed-cotton blend. The jacket features slash front pockets; a pencil pocket on the front sleeve; heavy-duty brass zipper; adjustable waistband tabs; quilted black lining; and polyurethane fill. Eight colors are available.

Formal workwear will always have a place, particularly a blazer like this. Of 100% Ultralux polyester, this two-button, single-breasted jacket features a top welt pocket, felt lined collar, felt undercollar, center back vent, brass buttons and two inside breast pockets. It comes in gray, navy, burgundy, black, red and hunter green, and there’s a coordinating woman’s style.

Even though many workplaces have gone corporate casual, there will always be those occasions, both social and business, when a tie is necessary. There’s a surprising variety available in 100% silk or 100% polyester, bearing pretty much any pattern you might want or need.
