1-31: National Win
With Civility Month. Stressing the benefits of being civil and
courteous to each other in all aspects of life. Can be touted by any
business or organization.
1: Jerry Garcia: Birthday. Whether you like the Grateful Dead
or not, it’s difficult to deny their 30-year heritage of fanatical
fans, legendary concerts and charitable work.
6: National Fresh Breath Day. Coincidentally, mints, gum and
even mouthwash are available imprinted.
7: Treasure Your Customers Day. A perfect and unexpected day
to give them a particularly nice logoed gift.
9: Veep Day. Recognizing vice presidents everywhere. Good day
for a promotion (in more ways than one).
13: Alfred Hitchcock: Birthday. A “gimmie” for video
stores, TV stations, theatres and any promotion using a
mystery/suspense theme.
17-23: National Friendship Week. You can never have too many
friends, in business as well as life.
21: Hawaii Admission Day. Alohaville became the 50th state
today, 1959.
27: New Moon: At 1:26 p.m., EDT.
31: Alice TV Premiere Anniversary. The show about a
single-mom waitress, insane boss and strange friends bowed on this
day, 1976. It lasted nine years – pretty amazing, considering its
lame jokes and even lamer scripts. Great opportunity to celebrate
how far TV has come since then. |
