Stashed in a convenient zippered
case, this pocket/purse-sized cell-phone recharger kit features
– in addition to the recharger, naturally – four different
adapters, a nine-volt battery, instructions and even a neck
lanyard. In other words, everything you need.

Style-wise, this metal desk/shelf
clock is attractive, unisex, and can blend into most decors. Take
into account the rotating triangular display panel, however, and
it becomes the subtle center of attention.

Again, it’s not the product as
much as it’s being just a little left of center. On the
functional side, this note cube pad is conveniently compact and
features self-adhesive, repositionable leaves. Nothing that
amazing, except that it’s also likely the first note cube to
picture the Mona Lisa with a spiked hairdo on reverse side.

Not that it’s a surprise to
Imprint readers, but there’s always something new being done to
the old reliable ballpoint. This variation looks kind of like a
translucent cigar – robusto size – with a bumpy soft-rubber
band dead-center. Push one side against the other, though, and it
becomes a very cool-looking gel-ink pen. In four colors.

There may have been a dot.com
shakeout, but Net commerce is – as you’re no doubt aware –
far from dead, or even badly injured. These serious-sized
stoneware mugs can feature several full-relief symbols, among them
www, @, .org, .edu, .com, and more. Colors available as well.

This pocket flashlight is made of
translucent plastic with soft rubber inserts. So are others.
It’s roughly the size of a matchbook Again, so are others. This
one, though, also features an LED so bright you find yourself
looking at its size again. It has a life of 100,000 hours and
comes with two lithium batteries.

All put together, it’s kind of a
neat-looking little snap-together plastic model. Unconstructed,
however, it’s a promotional piece that can be mailed in a
standard #10 envelope. Using 2-D to send a client 3-D. Ya gotta
love it.

Yeah, it’s unquestionably edging
toward the strange side. No argument there at all. Still, how
could you not like something as completely out-there as a claw
hammer with a leopard-spotted handle and adorned with a mini
feather boa? Displayable kitsch just doesn’t get any better.
