Raining On Your Promo Parade

Rain, rain, go away, come again some... Wait; If you keep wishing the rain away, it’s gonna fall some day, right? And since it’s inevitable, you might as well be prepared (and look good while doing it). Here’s some of the promotional rainwear available from your counselor.


Sometimes, outerwear can have so many extra features that a simple, clean jacket like the Short Commuter 88023 can be a refreshing change. Of 100% coated polyester, it has a water-resistant finish; nylon taffeta lining; inside security pocket; and inside cell phone/PDA/sunglasses pockets. It comes in black, midnight navy, and fossil, sizes XS-XXXL. Ask for asi/37127



The “Marathon” is like having two jackets in one. It reverses from a nylon tussah to a nylon taffeta. It features a full-front zipper, self-fabric elasticized waistband and cuffs, double-welt pockets with color accent, capped opening for decorating and two side-zip pockets with accent tabs. Imprintable rainsuits can obviously act as walking ads and are excellent for safety programs. This three-piece version (2013R) comes in high-visibility, two-ply PVC/polyester in thicknesses ranging from .10mm to a heavyweight .35mm. The jacket has a detachable hood, 2-inch reflector stripe and overalls with bib styling. It’s offered in orange, sizes S-XXXL. Ask for asi/51204

This is definitely a lot of jacket. It’s made of waterproof Aqua Tec with a ripstop nylon shell and lightweight taffeta nylon lining. Other details include taped seams; a hood with snap-tab closure; front storm flaps suitable for embroidery or screenprinting; black contrast lining zippers and snaps; open bottom hem with concealed shock-cord drawstring closure; hidden pocket with zipper closure, right-chest storm flap; elastic cuffs with adjustable Velcro closure; and inside zippered wallet pocket. Ponchos are an inexpensive rainwear classic that show no sign of waning as long as there are sporting events, concerts and other outdoor activities. These are made of PVC vinyl with reinforced side-snap closures, a hood and finished edges. The regular weight (3.5 mil) is the most popular, but the heavyweight (7 mil) is considered the Cadillac of vinyl ponchos; it will stand up to almost anything that might tend to tear a poncho of lesser thickness. Sometimes a jacket’s enough; other times you need a little more. When you do, consider the “Nautilus” microfiber jacket and pants. They’re both made of an extremely fine 100% polyester yarn using a special weaving technique that makes them wind- and water-resistant but still able to breathe. The jacket features a storm collar and adjustable wrist closures. In three color-combinations and sizes ranging from XS to XXXL. This may look like a standard cap, but it’s actually water-resistant. And that’s not all; with each cap purchased, a portion of the proceeds are donated to the Save the Rainforrest organization. The #EZ590 low-profile cap is made of a soft micro-cotton performance twill; features six-panel style with matching sewn eyelets; a self-adjusting strap with a T-slide buckle attachment; and sewn-in buckram. GQ recently ran an article showing its pick of six wardrobe staples. The trenchcoat was one of them. First used by, aptly enough, officers in the trenches during World War I, it was quickly adapted to everyday use and is now a fashion standard. The #8340 trench is a unisex coat made of 100% crinkle nylon that makes it ideal for travel. The water-repellent coat features a belted waist, covered placket and gussetted travel pocket.
