The Promotional Idea Showcase -
Summer 2000 - Updated Quarterly
Making A Case for Promotions By Kathy Huston
Daily Dose
When time-sensitive medication’s a must, Med-On-Time could be just what the doctor ordered. The
ergonomically-designed pill case has an easy-to-set built-in alarm that beeps at medication
time, a countdown timer, an a.m./p.m. digital clock and two large compartments. It can easily be
kept in a pocket, purse, glove compartment, lunchbox, or almost anywhere else necessary. Operates
on a standard “button” battery, which is included. Not a bad choice for health-centered
promotions. Or, tuck a message inside, set the alarm and mail it off to a prospect. Available
from asi/70400, (Medport line). |

Classy Brass
It’s doubtful this product will tarnish your firm’s image. A dual-function business card case –
notepad/pen holder of silver-plated solid brass, it’s lacquered for a long-lasting-proof finish
and can be engraved for an even more high-quality, personalized look. Could work well in employee
programs, as well as business-to-business events. Ask your counselor about various options.
Available from asi/40445, (Bey-Berk line).

Nuts and Bolts of It...
Got a promotional theme involving home improvement or minor repair? Maybe you’re just “fixing up”
your image. You might want to check out this screw assortment tool box, which also converts to a
hanging tool rack. The product includes assorted nails, wood and metal screws, as well as washers
nuts and bolts. A company’s name or message can be pad-printed or screened in the 2 inch by 1
inch imprint area. Ask about asi/51203, (EQP line).

Bloomin' Robot
Here’s something that would catch some attention in the office. The “Robot Series” CD holders
(music or computer) offers ad exposure literally at the push of a button. The case “blooms” open,
but a cover lock prevents the CDs from accidentally falling out. Holds and protects up to 10
discs. Interesting idea for technology-focused promos, but could fit a number of others, too.
Ask your counselor for more information about it from asi/79530, (Prime line).

End Lost Specs
How many times have you misplaced your glasses ... in the past week alone? Here’s one hassle-free
solution. The “Eyeglass Marsoops” not only holds your glasses, but also functions as a protective
case/retainer. The unit easily turns inside out, over and around almost any pair of glasses – sun
or otherwise. Two locking snaps keep eyewear secure. Comes with a hook so it can be fastened
onto a belt, vest, etc., for added handiness and security. In addition, it’s made of lightweight
materials, so there’s nothing bulky about it, even in a mailing. Available in a variety of colors
and, for fishers/boaters, in floating as well as non-floating versions. (Maybe one for keys and
remote controls next?) Your counselor can discuss ideas for it with you. From asi/48035,
(Marsoops line).

How's The Weather
It’s a pen case. No, wait; it’s a weather station. No, wait; it’s both. A novel way to keep the
current weather report – and your company’s name– at a client’s fingertips (especially if they’re
meteorology-minded). Made of solid rosewood, the box portion is lined with genuine suede, which
alone conveys a high perceived value. Add the mini-clock, thermometer and hygrometer mounted on
the underside of the lid, and the perception shoots up even higher. And don’t forget it can hold
a lot more than just writing instruments ... Available from asi/49468, (Nobilis line).
